Through the program of 50 million liters of purified water, equivalent to 300 saltwater purifiers, it was awarded to primary schools and kindergartens in 5 provinces of Vinh Long, An Giang, Kien Giang, Ben Tre, and Can Tho - the local burden. will be severely affected by the saltwater intrusion drought in 2021. It is estimated that 100,000 children will benefit from the program.
Every dry season, people in the West struggle in a fierce drought. In response to the "World Water Day" this year, March 22, Karofi cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Training to organize a ceremony to announce the program "Understanding drought and salinity - Pure West". Through that, it not only accompanies schools to directly donate pure, safe and hygienic fresh water to students, contributing to preventing diseases at risk from the current polluted water source. Besides, on the occasion of the whole world turning towards Water Resources - the most important and valuable resource for life, the program also wants to spread a positive message to the whole community about raising the awareness of saving money. save resources, protect the water environment, use pure clean water to protect family's health and share difficulties with the unlucky people who are living in polluted water areas and have no access. With the characteristics of saline water in the West, ordinary water purifiers cannot be used, or only used for a short time, they will fail and clog the filter core. Therefore, Karofi researches and manufactures a water purifier specifically for Western water that is suitable and can withstand salinity up to 1500 ppm. The components that make up the machine have high quality, good salt resistance, especially the specialized RO membrane imported directly from the US.
The filtered water of Karofi water purifier is tested to meet the national standard of pure drinking water by the Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health - Ministry of Health. That is, water just needs to be turned at the faucet to drink directly without boiling, convenient to use in schools.
Immediately after the announcement ceremony, 300 water purifiers were handed over directly to 40 schools in 5 western provinces. Starting from April 1, 2021, all machines will be installed so that the school can promptly have pure water for use.
The program "Understanding drought and salinity - Purity of the West" is part of Karofi Group's series of projects dedicated to the future of Vietnam with the goal of helping disadvantaged people in society to have the opportunity to access resources. Up to now, it has been implemented for 6 years with a total budget of up to VND 25 billion, 250 million liters of purified water have been handed over and more than 1 million people have directly benefited from the project.
